Americans love dogs, most households in America has at least one dog. According to MSN, there are about 78 million dogs in America. 

Different cities in America has their own preferred breeds, for example: Boston and Los Angeles are big fans of bulldogs. Detroit are fans of Rottweiler, and Honolulu favors shiba inu. 

Most popular dogs that people get are Golden and Labrador retrievers. The reason why is because they are friendly, happy, get a long with children and other animals. Another popular dog that ranks in the top five is a German shepherd. German shepherd are loyal and intelligent.
